Most safari lodges offer wifi in common areas, but it is often slow and shared. In your room or tent there is usually no wifi. Your eSIM can provide a personal connection where Orange has signal, which is mainly around towns and not deep in the bush.

Credit and debit cards are widely accepted in hotels, restaurants and shops in towns. Public wifi is rare outside cafes and lodges. Carrying some cash is useful for small purchases and rural areas.
Will my eSIM work in Botswana?
Yes. The eSIM connects to Orange, the only network available on this plan. As long as you have installed it before arriving and enabled data roaming, it should register automatically.
Is there coverage in the Okavango Delta?
Orange does not guarantee coverage inside the delta. Around Maun and the entrance towns you will have signal, but on the water and in most safari camps the connection may drop. Download maps and messages before heading out.
